TPG Telecom is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Trusted Cloud has been awarded a contract with Christadelphian Aged Care to provide an end-to-end solution from managed Wide Area Network to cloud computing services. The three year contract will roll out services to all of the sites which currently have nearly 400 permanent and shift users.

Christadelphian Aged Care is an experienced aged care provider that has been serving the community for more than 60 years.  It is a not for profit provider of aged care services which currently operates 24 x 7 facilities in the NSW locations.

Christadelphian Aged Care issued an RFP in July 2011 for their Private IP Network, Internet & Infrastructure Services. They require the provision of a private IP based WAN for Layer 3 inter-site connectivity and stated that they may require some public cloud based infrastructure services.

Christadelphian Aged Care currently run their own internal services and applications with all server infrastructure based in their head office. Due to a number of factors Christadelphian Aged Care has considered alternative solutions to deliver their IT requirements, with a view of simplifying management, increasing scalability and gaining fixed costs for all IT related matters.  Christadelphian Aged Care are anticipating reasonable growth and want to be able to scale services up with fixed and known IT costs. The requirement has evolved from the provision of managed WAN to  cloud computing services.

After reviewing vendor alternatives, Trusted Cloud was selected as the preferred partner for its holistic approach. Christadelphian Aged Care required a solution that will consolidate and leverage from the current disparate network and create an integrated single robust, high availability, technology platform which can easily grow and adapt as Christadelphian Aged Care business grows.

“We did consider a number of other vendors [but] the difference with this vendor compared with other ones is the other vendors were focussing very heavily on infrastructure as a service, which is still a component of Trusted Cloud but they focus very heavily on delivering a business solution or delivering a business platform. That was one of the key things.”
